When you think of eating roti prata, where would be the first place you think of? A lot of people would say Jalan Kayu Roti Prata is the best, but i have a differing preference.
I do eat at Jalan Kayu, the famous prata shop, but I still prefer JULAIHA Muslim Restaurant for its Prata. Here’s why : -
The chicken portion they serve is definitely more generous and delicious, and cheaper compared to Jalan Kayu. You get exactly what you order, if you order a ‘plaster’, you get a almost half boiled egg on top of your prata, unlike some prata shops who can serve you a ‘plaster’ no different from a normal egg prata. The TEH TARIK at Julaiha is fantastic….Jalan Kayu is probably as good too I’d say. Quick and personalised service too!
I’ve been patronising this prata shop for years, since years ago at Thomson-SinMing Area all the way to Macpherson! I’d say let’s go to ‘DEEN’ for prata. Mr Deen is how we address the boss, who is by chance, my father’s client and friend now… we’re definitely LOYAL customers!!
Here’s a candid shot of him in action!
