Pasir Ris - White Sands shopping mall has recently had a makeover and is now much more appealing than it was a year ago.
Used to be miserable trying to find something decent to eat there. Now, not only the foodcourt has been designed to host a wide variety of food stalls, big coffee king YAKUN is also making itself known as part of the new complex. Needless to say, fastfood giants are also competing against the many restarants and food outlets. There’s CAVANA, Swensens, Lerk Thai, and even a small centralised food area serving delicacies from Hongkong.
Two days ago, I had dinner at HEI Sushi on the 3rd level of the complex and I must say it’s YUM. We ordered a sushi plate, some veg tempura (yasai) which was heavenly, Chicken katsu, tasty miso soup and green tea for 2. Spent 30 dollars and we had a lovely dinner for two.
Service was ok, food fantastic and ambience is rather soothing.
Of course, if you’re smarter, go for the 16.90+++ lunch buffet!
What’s best about this sushi outlet, it’s HALAL!
